The following are formal policies that provide our employees with guidance and Company-wide expectations regarding social responsibility, environment, health and safety: 

Corporate Social Responsibility Policy 

We conduct business consistently with our long established values, which encompass product quality, service to our customers and making positive contributions to the communities where we do business. Corporate social responsibility is an extension of the way we have done, and will continue to do, our business. We reaffirm our commitment and will to:

A)   Maintain the highest standards of business and personal integrity as detailed in our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
B)   Maintain our commitment to an equal employment opportunity workforce and encourage diversity.
C)   Routinely monitor, assess and report on our conformity with this policy

Environment, Health & Safety Policy
 

We recognize that excellence in Environment, Health & Safety performance is an essential part of our goal of becoming the leading independent consultancy, procurement and Service Company. To accomplish this, we will:

A)   Provide the leadership and resources that will enable our workforce to meet improvement objectives and targets.
B)   Comply with applicable environment, health & safety laws and regulations.
C)   Provide internal standards for our managers and employees where controlling laws and regulations do not exist or are considered insufficient.
D)   Communicate regularly with the communities where we operate to develop and maintain a mutual understanding of goals and expectations. 

Resource Policy: The company’s resource policy is based on the utilization of highly skilled and experienced engineers for all project activities. The engineering groups are selected individuals with both engineering expertise and personal values that endorses our corporate value systems of providing a world-class service. 

Nigerian Content Policy Statement:
 Encapsulate Nigeria Limited recognizes the long-term value of Nigerian content to its growth, operations and importance to the people of Nigeria. As a result Encapsulate Nigeria Limited will:

A)   Conduct work in a way that has near and long term benefits to the community in which the company operate, consistent with its corporate guiding principles. This will include working directly and through others to provide education and training to improve quality of life which business needs.
B)   Invest in training to bridge the gaps between business needs and local responsibilities.
C)   Make use of Nigerian individuals, contractors and supplier to the fullest possible extent with due consideration to quality and capability.
D)   Developing the capability of individuals and contractors, where appropriate to meet business needs.

Therefore, from the forgoing Encapsulate Nig. Limited shall ensure the maintenance of high Nigerian content, i.e. 90% and above by developing and training of Nigerian manpower, making use of Nigerian Individuals contractors and suppliers to the fullest possible for procurement of equipment, materials and consumables prior to and during the execution of any given contract. 

Nigerian Staff Employment, Development and Training Policy

Encapsulate Nigeria Limited shall consider the employment of Nigerians into management positions as priority for the operation of the company. Transfer of technical knowledge and skill shall be from the members of the management team to the other local staff. This shall also be a strategy for the execution of any given contract and shall also serve as a basis for training of personnel.

The strategy shall involve giving the Nigerian staff the opportunity to test and consolidate their knowledge acquired during on-the-job training and on the in-house/external courses they will attend while working in the company. This shall be done firstly under the close supervision of the members of management team, after it is established that an adequate level of proficiency has been attained, the company’s Director shall be informed and the personnel upgraded accordingly.

The member of the management team will develop the Engineers, Technicians and others through well-tailored external, in-house courses and on the job training programs as spelt out in the company training requirements.

An important ingredient in the success of the training and development strategy for Nigerian staff is the selection of the members of management team with sufficient skills, self-confidence, willingness and ability to teach and train their subordinates on the job.
